My employer uses Lotus Notes and I hate it. Installed the outlook connector today and in no time I was up and running. I have a few issues and wonder if anyone has figured this out. 1) I cannot figure out how to make my sent emails display my name and not just my email address. 2) Persons within my company From fields will show up not as a name or email address but rather with the full path to their email box on the server. 3) Our company has a shared address book which does show up as an available list when I'm selecting whom I'm going to email, but I cannot access my personal Contacts or Address book namely 'names.nsf' on my pc.

Any suggestions?

Thanks,
John

I've been using Notes (now on 6.5) for years with no problems. I have had others, like yourself who tell me how bad the client UI is, and I just don't see it. What, EXACTLY, is it that folks find so awful about it? I'm assuming that your IT staff has the server on a decent box and updates installed. This is an honest question, not looking for flames.

To get around the KB uninstall (which seems to be included in SP3) add the following registry key (DWORD):
HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Office\11.0\O utlook\Options\General

The value should be set to 1

I tried the Outlook connector for Dominio but could never get it to work on my laptop. Keep saying that my notes profile is not set up properly when I can use my Lotus Notes.

I'm using IBM's connector and i find it's A LOT easier to setup and seems to work a lot better..take a long time initially to setup, especially if you have a lot of mail..but otherwise..it's great.
