Walking on water is possible once again

Here is yesterday’s wonderful view from the university campus:
If you didn’t know, the sea around the campus has been covered by ice, which tends to happen after a few weeks of minus degrees Celcius. Evidently, the ice has already gained enough centimeters to hold people which you unfortunately can’t see in the picture — but there were two persons out on the ice trying to catch some fish. Or, that is what it looked like to me.
I don’t dare to walk out on the ice yet. It might be thick enough to hold a human right now, but at other places it might still be too thin. I might try my luck in January when the ice should be almost a meter thick and holding the mass of cars and people. (Yes, that is possible)
