Fixing the broken things
19 July 2004 in Root | Comments (0)
OK, I noticed that the wish list link somehow has gotten broken. I don’t know how, but it just has sometime. I tried it out now, and it should work. If it doesn’t, please contact me and report the issue. If you click the wish list link and look just under the title (”wish list”), it should mention my name and location (Vaasa, Finland). Just if you would like to say thanks for my help someday… ![]()
As for other things, I noticed that the idiots of the world, also called spammers, have hit my blog with something nasty and that means they should get more spanking by their mothers and/or father. No, frankly, I washed the filth they left and will try to accelerate my movement towards open-source alternatives as to avoid the problems left in Six Apart’s jungle-of-code-software. I will soon also turn off commenting since it seems like no use to have in place with the forum and all soon springing into action.
Finally, coming soon is my first freeware application that is a secret, still. It will most likely first hit private beta, then after that public beta and finally final version. This application is nothing bit, but then it might also be big. It depends on your p.o.v.
Nice Summer (in the northern hemisphere) or Winter (southern hemisphere),

REVIEW: SPB Time
14 July 2004 in Pocket PC | Comments (0)
Wheew, after much armwrestling with my ADSL connection and the such, my review of SPB Time is finally published!
The (corny) intro goes like this:
I have discovered that the relentless white-ish ActiveSync screen on my Pocket PC starting at me from the dock, is in fact annoying. Finally, SPB Time solves that by giving me a possibility of getting a grasp on the time passing by in the form of an analog or digital clock, or the world as we know them. If you happen to fall into hypnosis by the new skinnable screensaver, then it also offers alarms and timers to complete the suite and keep you awake. Read on for more details.
FUN: Decapitated Commercial
6 July 2004 in Root | Comments (0)
What happens when animated GIF images go bad? Well, decapitation can occur, like in this “Smokey The Bear Game” commercial that I saw just a second ago over at Smartphone Thoughts.

This is a supposed bird that tries to scream (GIFs don’t have sound, so I’m not that sure) something and jump away. However, one part of a frame is not cleaned away properly, and the result is a decapitated bird. Now what is Smokey the Bear trying to convey to children today?
Remember kids, don’t start forest fires or I’ll decapitate the bird…
You will probably be able to catch this commercial somewhere else on the net until the AD Council gets aware of this mistake. If they ever do… ![]()
